La Cinciallegra is a newly-restored medieval rustic contadini house, fitted out with modern comforts but retaining the atmosphere of traditional rural life in the Tuscan hamlet of Ponzanello, near Fosdinovo and Aulla.
   2 double bedrooms and extra room for use as bedroom if necessary, kitchen, bathroom with shower, terrace with mountain view.
Peace and quiet, with no traffic, the house makes an ideal writer's retreat.  Or you may just love nature, love Italy, or want to let your children roam (there's a ruined castle!) and experience life as it used to be. The views across forested hills and valleys to the mountains beyond are breath-taking.  Naturalists will find species such as nightingale, golden oriole and short-toed and golden eagle, and the terrace is visited by martens.  Here there is year-round interest and beauty.
